The FIT-TB24V is the latest innovation from FITO Products. Thanks to an improved design, installation is simpler and more straightforward, reducing the risk of incorrect installation to a minimum.

The FIT-TB24V is a relay integrated into the base plate of a smoke alarm, specifically designed to control an electrically powered free-swing door closer or other external 24 V DC devices in combination with a hardwired interconnectable smoke or heat alarm from the FIT(H)-230(10) series.

No additional converters are required. The base incorporates a 230 V AC to 24 V DC power supply to power the free-swing door closer. This eliminates the need for additional wiring or a separate converter from the distribution board. Instead, the door closer can be supplied quickly and easily with a regulated 24 V DC power supply directly from the smoke alarm.

This solution helps ensure compliance with Article 4.218 of the Dutch Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving (Bbl), which requires access doors to close automatically in the event of a fire.

The FIT-TB24V activates the door closer under three conditions:

• When the smoke alarm detects smoke.
• When the 230 V AC mains power supply fails, causing the smoke alarm to lose mains power.
• When the smoke alarm is disconnected from its base plate.

These three trigger mechanisms make the FIT-TB24V a fail-safe solution.
